These terms are the agreement between you and Tripfolk. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not, do not use the app.
You must be 18 or older. You must not have been previously banned from Tripfolk, and you must not be barred from using the service under the laws that apply to you. One account per person.
You sign in with Google. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Give us accurate information — in particular your date of birth, which cannot be changed after it is set.
You keep ownership of your photos, messages and text. By posting them you give us a licence to store, display and transmit that content solely to operate the service — showing your profile to other members, delivering your messages, and similar. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where we must keep records for safety (see the Privacy Policy).
You must have the right to post what you post. Do not upload photos of other people without their permission, and do not upload anything you found on the internet and do not own.
The Community Guidelines are part of these terms. In short: no harassment, no sexual content, no scams, no fake profiles, no minors, no spam. Breaking them can cost you your account.
Tripfolk introduces people. It does not vet them. A verified badge means someone submitted a selfie that matched their photos; it is not a background check, an identity check, or a statement that a person is safe.
You alone decide whether to meet someone. Meet in public. Tell a friend where you are going. Do not send money to anyone. Do not get into a vehicle with someone you have just met. To the fullest extent the law allows, Tripfolk is not responsible for the conduct of any member, online or in person.
Tripfolk Plus, when it becomes available, is billed through the App Store or Google Play, not by us. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; cancel through your store account. Refunds are handled under the store policy — we cannot issue them directly. Prices and the contents of Plus may change; we will tell you before a change affects an existing subscription.
We may warn, restrict, suspend or ban an account that breaks these terms or the guidelines, or where we reasonably believe someone is at risk. Serious cases — threats, sexual content involving minors, fraud — are removed immediately and without warning. You can appeal by writing to appeals@tripfolk.app.
You can stop at any time by deleting your account in the app.
We work to keep Tripfolk running and accurate, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that anyone you meet will be who they claim. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties and limit our total liability to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or 100 EUR. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Tripfolk after that means you accept the new version.
These terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, and the courts of İstanbul have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the EEA or UK, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of your own country.
